Slow and Steady

As the Art season is in full swing,  I struggle to create art pieces with "stickyness"  that will be around and enjoyed for years. I want to avoid the "paint what sells" mentality.  It never finishes as well as a painting that finds me.

What comes from the heart goes  to the heart.

Art reflects the times, I want to create pieces that excite me,  subject matter , color, control and spontaneity.   I want a painting that 100 years from now might inspire another budding artist.  What are your thoughts about this digital "information" age and how it influences art.

Nice post.

I completely resonate with your perspective on art in the digital age! It's refreshing to hear someone prioritize creating art that comes from the heart rather than succumbing to the pressure of producing what sells. Your commitment to making art that's not only enduring but also deeply personal is truly inspiring.

The idea that "what comes from the heart goes to the heart" is beautifully put and holds so much truth. It's in those genuine, heartfelt creations that the true essence of an artist shines through, and those are the pieces that tend to resonate the most with viewers.
